Teen Pregnancy Pact
So Gloucester High School in Massachusetts seems to be home to some of the most fertile or just plain misguided teenage girls to date. In a “outbreak” of teenage pregnancy some seventeen teenage girls under sixteen have become pregnant in what seems to be some sort of pact made by the girls. They all actively attempted to get pregnant at the same time, some rumored to have even been inseminated by a homeless guy (although this may be a misleading description of a displaced 24 year old guy) non the less this is another weird and wonderful story from the bowels of America.
I guess you automatically look to the parents, but i guess if your kid is sneaky and screwed up enough to become part of a preganacy pact before their sweet sixteen they can probably manage to get themselves knocked up without their folks figuring it out. I am sure there are many cases of teenage mums turning out ok and i dont want to judge all instances. But i am pretty sure i remember most of my decisions being based on my friends influence in school, this is probably one of those fads we can emphatically say is a all round bad idea.

I like that NBC is spreading a good message to teens about not getting pregnant. I will have my brothers and sisters watch this show. I think it starts on June 25th at 9pm!

Wow, when I first heard this story yesterday I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I mean, how cool is it that a group of girls 16 and under were able to coordinate a mass pregnancy. SEVENTEEN people??? Awesome! I can’t even get FOUR friends of mine to agree on a place and time to get dinner, let alone start families. (And we’re 40)
Seriously, these girls have shown an incredible amount of foresight and planning that will totally be of use to them in the business world. So many people my age are apathetic and have no motivation. It so refreshing to hear a case of kids younger than me getting together, setting a goal, and moving 100% towards that goal. Decisiveness is a rare thing and these girls have it. If only our government had a fraction of the creativity and resourcefulness these girls have shown in getting pregnant we might actually have jobs and working public institutions.

The libs have a hard pill (or not!) to swallow with this catastrophe.
The liberal sex manifesto is “abortion at any age, sex at any age.” So, why is everyone so surprised?
The liberals say, “screw now, and pay later”. Their little condom-distribution scheme didn’t work so well this time!! These children just said, “we will have sex without a condom.” The poor children (no one over age 16) now have to deal with childbirth.
But wait!!! The godless libs have an answer for this one too. It involves just cutting the babies out of them and throwing them in the trash.
Hmmm…..guess the libs got it all covered…
Don’t you get it??? These girls REFUSED birth control. They had access to it. Hell, they were in the high school health clinic all the time getting pregnancy tests to find out if Billy Bob hit their timing just right. NOTHING could have stopped their quest to get pregnant. These were not accidental pregnancies by naive kids. They are not retarded or braindead!! They knew what they were trying to do!!
These are not young newly weds. These tramps screwed over and over with any boy till they got pregnant. Even the news media said the pregnancy test requests at the school had skyrocketed!! Okay, then what is your definition of a slut. This is what the Webster online dictionary says: SLUT – 1 chiefly British : a slovenly woman 2 a: a promiscuous woman. Now, I am not judging these kids, but they fit the definition of SLUTS!!!!

Wow Wanda is certainly a half glass full kinda mind! I have to say i did not see that positive spin on the determination and mind set, but i guess most teenagers rebel quite determinedly just generally not in mass life altering ways such as this. Still a nice try and a silver lining.
Tracy I dont think this is really a product of a laze fair attitude toward sex or the liberal born attitude of free sex and deal with the consequences at the clinic. This is a planned out effort to become pregnant, which seems to be some blown out attempt at rebeling or making some kind of point.
The definition of SLUT is to have many sexual partners (i am not sure if the British part was a dig at me – i will let it slide ha) But all the sluts i have known have been there for the good time not for the long time. This decision to become pregnant seems to run much deeper than just some young liberals getting laid.
I am not sure what is behind all this and i am sure it is the idea of one and the unfortunate and easily influenced being caught up in something that they are for sure going to regret. I guess time will probably tell a little more about what is behind this.

I like that Tracy’s argument points to the godless liberals and their failed plan to distribute condoms as being the culprit in this case. I believe the other option touted by the conservative parties is total abstinence which, obviously, didn’t really seem to stick in this situation either. I’m not even sure how party politics play into this AT ALL – it’s just a group of girls that had a crazy idea and followed through with it. Don’t believe the hype.
